Class I Wastewater Treatment

This five-day course is designed to assist the operator with the operation and maintenance of Class I Wastewater Treatment system. They will be given an explanation of why wastes must be treated, along with detailed descriptions of the equipment and processes used in a wastewater treatment plant. The Class I course is designed to ensure that the student/operator is knowledgeable in the following areas of Water and Wastewater Treatment: the use of safe practices and procedures in terms of wastewater treatment, the role and responsibilities of a treatment plant operator, operation and maintaining of racks, screens, comminutors, sedimentation tanks, trickling filters, rotating biological contactors, package activated sludge plants, oxidation ditches, ponds, and chlorination facilities.

This course is designed to assist Water Plant Operator with the operation and maintenance of Class I Wastewater Treatment System. It may also be useful to help prepare for writing the Class I Water Wastewater Treatment System Certification Exam (a mark of 70% must be achieved) the afternoon of April 19, 2024.
